Multi-millionaire one percenter Mitt Romney has refused to release his tax returns for the years prior to 2010.
But maybe, just maybe, we'll finally get to see them.
The Secret Service says it's investigating a report that copies of Romney's pre-2010 federal tax records were stolen.
A letter sent anonymously to the Williamson County, Tennessee, Republican Party's offices, as well as its Democratic offices, demanded $1 million by Sept. 28 to prevent their disclosure.
The letter said the returns were stolen in August 25 during a Watergate-style break-in at the company's accounting offices in Franklin, Tennessee.
But Romney's accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers, said there's no evidence any Romney tax files were stolen.
Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan confirmed the agency is investigating.
Wouldn't it just be easier for everybody if Romney would just voluntarily release the returns?
