In the digital age, we've seen an explosion of campaign videos (both official and independent) on the Internet.
The latest one, "Romney Girl," is a clever anti-Romney video that features a Swiss caricture mocking Mitt Romney over his wealth, tenure at Bain Capital and his refusal to release his pre-2010 tax returns.
"I’m a Romney girl, in a Romney world. Life is taxless. It’s fantastic,” sings the fictitious Miss Swiss, a former "tax consultant for offshore bank accounts" at a major bank in Geneva, Switzerland. "Silver tip your hair, tax shelters everywhere. Outsource nation, Bain is his creation."
The joke video was created by The Agenda Project. The group’s founder, Erica Payne, worked with the Democratic National Committee during the 1996 campaign. The song is set to the music of Barbie Girl by the Danish-Norwegian pop group Aqua.
And it bears little resemblence to Obama Girl, who showered her candidate with adoration in a video five years ago:
Oh, Miss Swiss also claims (on her website) to be the secret source behind Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's allegation that Romney didn't pay taxes for ten years (sorry, we buried the lead).
