Joe Oliver, a man identified as a friend of Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman, said today the neighborhood watch volunteer is "very, very sorry. That he's very, very sorry, because in many ways George has lost his life too."
Speaking on ABC's "Good Morning America," Oliver said Zimmerman is not a racist, "thought he was doing the right thing" and "has virtually lost his life now."
Oliver was asked yesterday about the apparent racial slur used by Zimmerman on the 911 tapes. Oliver suggested that Zimmerman did not use a racial slur but used "goons," which Oliver describes as "a term of endearment in high school these days."
But the adjective "f***ing" was used in anger by Zimmerman right before the alleged racial slur! Endearment?
I don't think Mr. Oliver is helping his friend Mr. Zimmerman.
