That (see headline) was Andrea Mitchell's reaction to a comment on contraception from Foster Friess, a big money donor behind the pro-Rick Santorum Super PAC.

Mitchell was interviewing Freiss during her msnbc program Andrea Mitchell Reports this afternoon when she asked him whether he thought Santorum's recent comments concerning social issues (such as contraception and women in combat) would hurt his candidate's viability in a general election campaign.

Here's what he said:

This contraception thing, my gosh, its so, such inexpensive.  Back in my days they used Bayer aspirin for contraception. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly.

'Excuse me, I'm just trying to catch my breath from that Mr. Freiss, frankly,' Mitchell responded.  "Let’s change the subject."

Frieiss laughed.

A minute later, Mitchell went back to the contraception question for still more hilarity from Mr. Friess.
