'Ed Show' tonight: Mon., Jan. 23, 2012

The fight for Florida is getting hot with Newt Gingrich now in front.

The fight for Florida is getting hot with Newt Gingrich now in front.  Who thought he'd be in this position?

Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA), who said he didn't think that he had "lived a good life to have Newt Gingrich be the Republican nominee," will join Ed tonight for some smart analysis and lively conversation (wait, didn't Newt say Barney should be in jail?  What happened with that?).

There's another GOP debate tonight, this time on NBC stations across the country (but not on msnbc) starting at 9pET.  Hardball's Chris Matthews will join Ed with a preview (then Ed will be back live at 11pET on msnbc for reaction and analysis of the debate.  Tweet your thoughts during the debate using the #edshow hashtag so TweetTron9K can share on teevee!).

Mitt Romney catches up on his laundry, but will his tax returns come out as clean as his wash?

Ed will discuss that and all the developments in the GOP campaign with a mega-panel of msnbc host Martin BashirJoan Walsh, Salon’s Editor at Large, and Richard Wolffe, msnbc Political Analyst.

House Speaker John Boehner predicts a "pathetic" State of the Union address from President Obama tomorrow.  Jonathan Alter, msnbc Political Analyst and Bloomberg View Columnist, will join Ed with a preview.

And guess who's back in Psycho Talk?  Chris Christie!  Ed will show us why.

It's going to be another packed @EdShow at 8pET on @msnbctv.

Join the conversation now or during the show by commenting on Facebook and/or tweeting (with the #edshow hashtag) so we can share your thoughts on the show.

The @TweetTron9k is powering up the circuits to put yer tweets on the teevee!
