The GOP appears to be in disarray.

New numbers show Rick Santorum surging ahead of Mitt Romney in Michigan (Romney’s birthplace and where his father was governor) and nationally for the presidential nomination.  And there are new calls for Newt Gingrich to drop out.

Mayor R.T. Rybak (D-Minneapolis, MN), Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, and Howard Fineman, NBC News Political Analyst and Editorial Director of the Huffington Post Media Group, will join Ed talk about the state of the race.

President Obama outlines his political priorities as he sends his budget to Congress, which includes calls for stimulus-style spending and tax hikes on the wealthy to help pay the costs.

And Republicans cave on the payroll tax cut extension.  Ed'll have the latest with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

The GOP war on women's health continues as they misrepresent President Obama as anti-religion on the contraception mandate.  A fatal mistake with female voters?

Joan Walsh, Salon’s Editor at Large, and Krystal Ball, Democratic Strategist and former candidate for U.S. Congress, weigh in on the potential political blow back.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker goes to CPAC to beg for money to fight off a recall election, but you won’t believe how he did it.  Ed’ll show us the tape.

A plane carrying the body of pop star Whitney Houston departed a Los Angeles airport today, reportedly headed to her home state of New Jersey for funeral and burial services, police said.

We’ll look back at Houston's life and the struggles that could have led to her death.  Dr. Deni Carise, Chief Clinical Officer of Phoenix House, one of the nation’s leading non-profit alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention programs, will join Ed.

And we’ll talk to Joy-Ann Reid, Managing Editor of TheGrio.com, msnbc Contributor, about the tributes to Houston and the big winners at the Grammy awards last night.

It's going to be another packed @EdShow at 8pET on @msnbctv.
