President Obama lays it all on the line for new gun laws, calling out the right wing machine that wants to kill reform and keep our children at risk.

Tonight at 8pET on “The Ed Show,” Ed Schultz goes into high gear on today’s historic announcement beginning with Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) .

Then, the National Rifle Association, a lobbying organization that exploits the fears of millions to protect the financial interest of gun/ammunition manufacturers, goes after the president’s daughters in a despicable new video ad. Will it back fire?

Ed will get reaction and analysis from Michael Steele, former Chairman of the Republican National Committee and msnbc Analyst, and David Corn, DC Bureau Chief for Mother Jones Magazine and Columnist for PoliticsDaily.com.

President Obama calls on Americans to get involved in the gun control debate. Former Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter, the 2012 Obama campaign Deputy Campaign Manager,  weighs in on the president's next campaign.

OK, so the president isn't pulling punches, but is the country ready for a change in culture? Ed will ask Dan Gross,  President of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence

And in the BIG Finish, House Democrats are bringing back the public option and Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) will tell us why  Republicans should love it.
