President Obama lays it all on the line for gun safety, but will Congress deliver?

Tonight on “The Ed Show” at 8pET on msnbc, Ed Schultz welcomes Neera Tanden, President and CEO of the Center for American Progress, and Howard Fineman, NBC News Political Analyst and Editorial Director of the Huffington Post Media Group, to discuss Obama’s historic call to action.

Then, “The Republican Savoir” missed the mark and it had nothing to do with his dry mouth. Ed will show us why words count with Joy Reid, Managing Editor of TheGrio.com, msnbc Contributor.

The president called for an increase in the minimum wage. We’ll debunk the lie that it’s a job killer. And then the BIG congressional panel of Rep. Terri A. Sewell (D-AL), Rep. John Larson (D- CT) and Rep. Gerald Connolly (D-VA) weighs in the president’s BIG speech.

Senate Republicans are impersonating Joe McCarthy.

And in the BIG Finish, the dramatic end to the California manhunt is caught on tape. We’ll take you back to Bear Mountain where major questions need to be answered with Clint Van Zandt, msnbc Criminal Analyst and former FBI Special Agent.

It’s going to be another essential @edshow tonight at 8p/11pET on @msnbctv.
