Bachmann 'way off base' on payroll tax cut

GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is under fire for comments she made on Tuesday's edition of Morning Joe on msnbc.  Bachmann said she opposes extending the payroll tax cut that that expires at the end of the year, claiming there is “not one shred of evidence that lowering the payroll tax rate created jobs.” But the non-profit FactCheck.org website says Bachmann is "way off base."  The site says the economy has gained more than 1.4 million jobs in the 11 months since the payroll tax holiday began.  The site also reports there is widespread agreement among economists that cutting payroll taxes creates jobs.
