Over 67 million Americans tuned in to watch President Obama and Mitt Romney’s first face-off – that’s the highest number of viewers for a first debate since 1980. More than 80 million people tuned in that year to watch President Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan’s one and only debate. So will the next Obama-Romney debates make it into to the record books? It’s anyone’s guess. Since 1984, viewership from first debate to the second debate has increased four times and decreased three times.
