Mitt Romney has promised American voters more definition on his political stances as the campaign moves forward. As August approaches, many Republicans are joining Romney’s opponents in criticizing the lack of definition on key issues throughout the campaign. Today’s political panel of GOP pollster Steve Lombardo, The Grio’s Perry Bacon and The Washington Post’s Ruth Marcus discussed if Romney’s strategy is a smart one or if it could cost him votes.
Last week, President Obama visited Florida to discuss Medicare with seniors. As NBC News’ Shawna Thomas and Mike O’Brien write, the speech, once again, highlighted a lack of specifics from the Romney campaign.
The National Journal’s Charlie Cook’s writes that Romney is “dangerously close to being defined on exactly the terms the Obama campaign has chosen.”
