Remembering the March on Washington

In a special edition of The Daily Rundown on Friday commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, host Chuck Todd talked with District of Columbia delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, who grew up in the then-segregated nation's capital and worked for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in Greenwood, Miss., and was later on the staff of the March. Also joining their conversation, former Maryland Democratic congressman and former head of the NAACP Kweisi Mfume and Vanity Fair national editor and author Todd Purdum, whose upcoming book, "An Idea Whose Time Has Come: Two Presidents, Two Parties, and the Battle for the Civil Rights Act of 1964," will be released soon.

Watch their full conversation, remembrances of the march and thoughts on the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. in the video below.
