Officials from the Republican Governors Association have announced their leadership for the next few years. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal will take over as Chairman starting next year, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will take the reins from him in 2014.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will be Jindal's vice chair in 2013, and, pending Christie's re-election as governor next November, Jindal will be Christie’s vice chair in 2014.

There's been talk in the Republican party that both Jindal and Christie could run for president in 2016, so this move puts both Governors in the spotlight. Plus, it also puts two Republican power players at the forefront in 2014 when the RGA will face a number of tough elections in various states.

The final vote on the arrangement will take place during the RGA's November meeting in Las Vegas.
