Vice President Joe Biden may have his first official endorsement for 2016–from his home state governor.

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell said on Wednesday’s The Daily Rundown he hopes to put a Delawarean in the White House next – but that it won’t be him.

“I hope very much to be able to cast my ballot in 2016 for a Delawarean,” said Markell, a Democrat who is the current chair of the National Governors Association.

While Markell said there were several qualified Democrats mentioned for the race, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the governor confirmed he’d be behind the First State’s former senator.

“I’m a Biden guy,” said Markell.
