“Here we go.” That was Monica Lewinsky’s first tweet after joining the social network and amassing more than 3,600 followers within one hour of her inaugural tweet.

The first tweet was sent out at 9 a.m. Monday morning, and Twitter verified Lewinsky’s handle within the hour. @VanityFair made the announcement early Monday:

Lewinsky, who was out of the public eye for a number of years following her headline-making internship at the White House, re-emerged last May when she penned a tell all in Vanity Fair about her experience in President Clinton’s White House.

Within an hour of sending out her first Tweet, Lewinsky’s second Tweet is in reference to speaking at the Forbes Under 30 Summit Monday morning and Lewinsky will also captain the largest bar trivia tournament in Philadelphia’s history on Monday.
