"You’re killing me Smalls!”
With Opening Day approaching, some members of the New York Yankees decided to test out their acting skills and pay tribute to an all-time baseball film favorite "The Sandlot."
Wearing pinstripes, Brett Garnder, who plays the role of "Smalls," admits to the sandlot crew -- Chase Headley, Didi Gregorius, Jacoby Ellsbury, Brain McCann, C.C. Sabathia, and Dellin Betances -- that the ball he brought to the field was signed by legendary slugger Babe Ruth.
In the video, released Tuesday by MLB.com, the Yankees reenact this 22-year-old iconic scene with passion but it is safe to say their acting skills don’t come close to their ball playing abilities.
