There have been countless depictions of sociopaths in movies. They take risks, lack remorse and emotion, have a penchant for deceit, and can be charming but also manipulative and egocentric.

However, one woman who is an open sociopath says that this depiction is not completely true. “I don’t think I am any more dangerous than most people. I think everybody has certain primitive instincts, spider fly instincts, that will be triggered in certain situations,” M.E. Thomas, author of Confessions of a Sociopath: A Life Spent Hiding In Plain Sight, said on Thursday’s show. “I really think sociopaths are for the most part harmless. The fact that everybody statistically has let a sociopath in their life and hasn’t realized it, I think it is a testament to the fact that most of those interactions should have been positive.”
