The president and first lady released their 2014 "year in photos" this week.

President Obama wears many hats as Commander-in-Chief--one of which is a pink sparkly tiara.

Throughout the holiday season, White House photographer Pete Souza has been teasing the social media world on Instagram with possible images for his annual “Year in Photos.” One that made the final cut: a pose photo from the annual White House Science Fair where the girls from a Girl Scout troop convince President Obama to put on a tiara for their group photo.

The complete 2014 Year in Photos can be found on Whitehouse.gov but some other memorable moments that made list are:

President Obama isn’t the only member of the White House to have his year reviewed in photos. On Monday, the first lady released her top 10 moments from the year. Number one on the list: becoming a GIF in order to answer questions on student loans.
