It’s a wrap, Colbert Nation.

After nine years, Comedy Central’s ‘The Colbert Report’ signed off Thursday night and the world bid farewell to Stephen Colbert.

“I know this is an emotional night for a lot of you,” Colbert said in his opening monologue. Until the finale the show went on as normal.

During the finale, which included a star studded event featuring  a sing-along farewell Colbert sang “we’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when. But I know we’ll meet again, some sunny day,”

Colbert fans know they will meet him again in a few months when he plays himself as the new host CBS’ “Late Show”.

Politicians erupted on Twitter thanking Colbert for the past nine years and looking forward to what is ahead.
