#LikeAGirl commercial encourages all girls to be themselves

Always "Like A Girl" commercial was the real winner of Super Bowl 49.

#LikeAGirl was the real winner of Super Bowl 49.

Always, the sanitary pad company owned by Proctor and Gamble, is seeking to redefine the phrase "like a girl" and targeting their biggest audience by far when they re-ran an ad from this past summer during the Super Bowl Sunday evening.

In the ad men and women of all ages are asked to "run like a girl" and "fight like a girl". The result is troubling as their arms waved around and hands awkwardly slapped instead of throwing an actual punch. That is, until the ad showed a group of young girls run and punch as anyone would.

The ad, which is powerful, heartwarming and empowering questions when "like a girl" became a bad phrase and encourages all girls to keep their confidence and embrace acting like themlseves as they move into their awkward teen girls because being "LikeAGirl is an awesome thing."
