Tuesday marks the beginning of the Democratic National Convention, and preparations are ongoing. Thousands of delegates have already descended on the city of Charlotte, North Carolina in time for its Labor Day parade. In the above photo, taken the day before the convention, a man makes some adjustments to the lighting at Charlotte's Time Warner Cable Arena, where the convention will begin. President Obama will accept his party's nomination on Thursday, at the Bank of America stadium elsewhere in the city.
