On this day in 1911 Ronald Reagan, the 40th president of the United States, was born.

President Reagan championed tax cuts and smaller government and ranks among the most honored presidents with his name written on public buildings across the country.

While he has since deceased, politicians took to social media to remember and wish the former president a very happy day.

Here’s to you Mr. President!
