Top Republican Mitch McConnell says a federal ban on abortion is “possible” if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Meanwhile, the majority of the five conservative Justices needed to overturn the precedent remains intact, according to Washington Post reporting. In Michigan, the state’s Attorney General and seven county prosecutors say they will not prosecute abortion cases even if an abortion ban would go into effect in the state. May 9, 2022
