Russian national Maria Butina has pleaded guilty, admitting to trying to influence U.S. Politics in the middle of the 2016 election. Butina pleaded to a conspiracy charge and agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors for failing to register as a foreign agent. The Rolling Stone’s Tim Dickinson tells “The Beat” that her efforts were “clearly well known among the highest ranking people in the Russian Government”.Dec. 14, 2018
