Senate hearing held on immigration and public safety following this month’s San Francisco shooting

The Senate Judiciary Committee holds a hearing entitled, “The Administration's Misdirected Immigration Enforcement Policies: Examining the Impact on Public Safety and Honoring the Victims.” The hearing follows the recent charging of Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, a Mexican laborer with an existing criminal record, with the shooting murder of San Francisco woman Kate Steinle, whose family is expected to testify.
