So it looks like the shaggy, long-extinct woolly mammoth may be making a surprise comeback. According to this report:
"Within five years, a woolly mammoth will likely be cloned, according to scientists who have just recovered well-preserved bone marrow in a mammoth thigh bone."
So stuff that we thought was long gone? Maybe isn't that long gone. Can something be un-extincted? Will we soon see stories like these:
"Within five years, drive in movies will likely be cloned, according to scientists who have just recovered well-preserved print of I Was A Teenage Werewolf and a box of Mike & Ikes in a dumpster behind a strip mall in Chattanooga."
...
"Within five years, Louis Armstrong will likely be cloned, according to scientists who have just recovered well-preserved licks and phrases of his in nearly every song of the past 80 years."
...
"Within five years, optimism will likely be cloned, according to scientists who have just recovered well-preserved samples from Mickey Rooney, who says he's tired of being the last one."
If it were possible, what or whom would you like brought back through cloning? The comments eagerly await your responses.
