Today's installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
* In California's Democratic primary, the Field Poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Bernie Sanders by two points, 45% to 43%, while the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll shows Clinton up, 49% to 47%.
* As for the general election, the NBC poll also found Clinton leading Donald Trump in a hypothetical match-up in California, 55% to 31%.
* Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R), in a bit of a surprise, has reportedly decided not to endorse Trump's candidacy and will instead remain neutral in this year's presidential race.
* In May, the Clinton campaign raised about $27 million, a total that doesn't include the $13.5 million for the DNC and state Democratic parties.
* Three Republican senators -- Iowa's Joni Ernst, Colorado's Cory Gardner, and Alaska's Dan Sullivan -- are in South Korea this week, telling the country's officials not to listen to Trump's recent rhetoric about U.S. foreign policy in the region.
* Research from USA Today found that Trump and his businesses "have been involved in at least 3,500 legal actions in federal and state courts during the past three decades" -- both as a defendant and a plaintiff. The article added, "The sheer volume of lawsuits is unprecedented for a presidential nominee. No candidate of a major party has had anything approaching the number of Trump's courtroom entanglements."
* Add Hewlett-Packard to the list of corporations that have decided not to co-sponsor this year's Republican National Convention.
* Former Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan announced yesterday he's taking on incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski in a Republican primary in Alaska this year. Note, Alaska's junior U.S. senator is an entirely different, unrelated person named Dan Sullivan.
* Puerto Rico Democratic caucuses are this Sunday -- with 67 delegates available, it's a contest that will matter -- and Puerto Rico Gov. Alejandro Padilla endorsed Hillary Clinton yesterday.
* Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson told the New York Times yesterday, "I bought underwear on Amazon the other day and I bought them too small. I'm dealing with that right now." Good to know, gov. Good to know.
