President Obama noted last night the Mitt Romney's tax plan intends to raise taxes on the middle class in order to finance another tax break for millionaires and billionaires. "It's like Robin Hood in reverse – it's Romney Hood," Obama told supporters.

Today, Romney responded on Fox News.

For those who can't watch clips online, Romney said, in response to the president's quip, "If I were to coin a term, it would Obamalogna. He's serving up a dish which is simply in contradiction of the truth."

First, maybe the guy who's demonstrated a near-pathological habit of lying uncontrollably should avoid whining about "contradictions of the truth." Second, an independent analysis of Romney's tax plan bolsters Obama's argument.

And third, I'm not sure if Romney's software needs a patch, but the whole point of "coining a term" is coming up with something memorable and easy to repeat. After having a day to think about it, Romney came up with "Obamalogna?" Seriously? And Fox News' Carl Cameron, an apparent Romney backer, considers this "a bumper-sticker line"?

I can't believe we have 91 more days of this until Election Day.
