Over at Roll Call, John Stanton reports that House Speaker Boehner's plan for raising the debt ceiling may be gaining momentum. Maybe that thing of showing the caucus The Town and getting them fired up to go hurt somebody is working.
In any case, this poll result from last week came fluttering past our worldview just now. According to the Financial Trust Index, a co-project of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University:
69 percent of Americans with a view on the issue are against raising the debt ceiling
Which, if you think about it too long, is kinda scary.
