Facing poll numbers that say he would lose by a mile in a do-over election, Ohio Governor John Kasich quietly woos Tea Partiers in Ohio with this video. Posted May 31 on Americans for Prosperity-Ohio's YouTube account, the pitch comes with a message: "This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it." That now includes you. UPDATE: AFP just took the video down -- anyone got a backup copy? UPDATE II: @SimplyAgrestic finds the regular "listed" version of the video in AFP-Ohio's account, posted June 3.
Maybe AFP just didn't like the world knowing the message from Governor Kasich used to be private.
"...in all of these efforts the strong support of Americans for Prosperity has made a really big difference. ...it's so important that Ohio's fighters for freedom, the grassroots leaders of Americans for Prosperity, continue to lend their support to the effort to get Ohio back on track."
Mr. Kasich calls them "grassroots leaders," when in fact the Koch-funded AFP is noted for astroturfing. This weekend, the Koch-funded FreedomWorks held a boot camp designed to generate support for the Paul Ryan budget plan. More on the Kasich video at Progress-Ohio.
