For reasons not entirely clear to me, I just got the same Newt Gingrich robocall captured in the YouTube clip above. My favorite part is where he says, "Barack Obama has used his radical ideology to turn America from a beacon of hope, growth and opportunity, to a failed version of a European secular socialist state."
Also this:
"The debates have gone exceedingly well, and I can tell you more than a few conservatives can't wait to see me versus President Obama in a one-on-one debate. Our poll numbers are moving steadily upward, and voters in the crucial early states are starting to take notice."
My state, New York, hasn't voted Republican for president since Ronald Reagan in 1984, so either Mr. Gingrich is riding coattails and stardust, or he's just fishing for dough with a very wide net. Mr. Gingrich was one of the declared winners at last night's debate. This year, that's as good as a ground game and face time and a campaign organization, all rolled into one.
