Monday's campaign round-up

Today's installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* In New Hampshire, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's (D-N.H.) asked former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) to sign a "People's Pledge," intended to limit outside spending in their likely 2014 matchup. Brown quickly refused.

* In related news, Brown's refusal came on the heels of an announcement from Karl Rove's Crossroads operation that it's launching a new a $600,000 ad campaign targeting Shaheen in New Hampshire with attack ads.

* Also in New Hampshire, Brown's new Senate campaign launched a Facebook page on Saturday. In an unfortunate twist, it included a Massachusetts mailing address.

* As GOP interest in Colorado grows, the Koch-financed Americans for Prosperity has bought $850,000 in air time, probably to air attack ads against Sen. Mark Udall (D).

* After Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) campaign released a mildly creepy video last week with stock footage of the senator, #McConnelling quickly became a popular online pastime.

* Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) announced last week he's creating a new political action committee. He made the announcement just hours before making a trip to New Hampshire.

* And in New York, television personality Donald Trump has decided not to run for governor, but he nevertheless issued a statement saying he has "much bigger plans in mind."
