* Snow storms may have slammed much of the Northeast last week, but that didn't stop New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) from leaving on Friday to spend the three-day weekend vacationing in Puerto Rico.
* Responding to widespread criticism, and some awkward legal questions, the National Republican Congressional Committee has "altered some of its misleading websites for 2014 congressional candidates," making it clearer that donors will help defeat Democrats, not elect them.
* In Kansas, Sen. Pat Roberts (R) is on the defensive for not maintaining a home in the state he represents, so he's trying to turn the criticism around by accusing his primary challenger, Martin Wolf, of receiving most of his financial support from donors outside of Kansas.
* For his part, Wolf seems to have an unpleasant habit of comparing President Obama and Democrats to Nazis.
* And in Iowa, Bob Vander Plaats, arguably the state's most prominent leader of social conservatives, announced that he will not run for the U.S. Senate this year. The news seems to have disappointed conservatives and progressives equally, with the latter eager to run against him.
