Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* With just one day to go before Wisconsin's gubernatorial recall election, Public Policy Polling shows Gov. Scott Walker (R) leading Tom Barrett (D), 50% to 47%. That's a little closer than the five-point lead Walker had in the last PPP survey.
* Arizona will hold a special election to fill Gabrielle Giffords' (D) vacancy in the U.S. House a week from tomorrow. The former congresswoman will campaign with Ron Barber, the former aide who is running to replace her, next week. [Update: I originally published the wrong dates. The text has been corrected.]
* On a related note, a Democratic super PAC is running this ad in Arizona, targeting Barber's right-wing opponent, Republican Jesse Kelly.
* In Massachusetts, the latest Boston Globe poll shows Sen. Scott Brown (R) leading Elizabeth Warren (D) by two points, while a survey from the Western New England University Polling Institute has Warren leading Brown by two points.
* On a related note, Warren easily won the state Democratic Party's endorsement over the weekend, and will not face a primary.
* The latest national CNN poll shows Democrats with a narrow lead over Republicans on the generic congressional ballot, 48% to 45%. Democrats need a net gain of 25 seats to win back the majority.
* With Rep. Thad McCotter (R) giving up his write-in bid, do Democrats have a shot in his Michigan district? Maybe.
* And in Indiana's U.S. Senate race, former supporters of Sen. Dick Lugar (R), who lost in a recent GOP primary, have launched "Republicans for Donnelly" in support of Democratic Rep. Joe Donnelly. They see Republican Richard Mourdock as far too extreme.
