Today's installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.

* A new Monmouth poll, released this morning, showed Joe Biden leading Donald Trump nationally, 53% to 41%. Among the tidbits: 50% of voters have ruled out voting for the incumbent president, while 34% have ruled out supporting the Delaware Democrat.

* Republican officials were pleased to announce late yesterday that the joint RNC/Trump fundraising committee raised $131 million in June, which was an impressive haul. What they did not know, however was that the joint DNC/Biden fundraising committee raised $141 million over the same period. It's the second month in a row in which Trump and his team were outraised.

* After last week's primaries, it appears Reps. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) and Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) are on track to prevail, and both are overwhelming favorites to hold onto their seats in November.

* In Montana's closely watched U.S. Senate race, the latest University of Montana poll found Gov. Steve Bullock (D) leading incumbent Sen. Steve Daines (R), 47% to 43%.

* In Texas, Public Policy Polling found Biden with a narrow lead over Trump, 48% to 46%. The same survey showed incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R) ahead of M.J. Hegar (D), 42% to 35%.

* On a related note, the University of Texas/Texas Politics Project Poll offered better news for the president: it found Trump leading Biden, 48% to 44%.

* Though he hasn't made any official announcements, former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe's (D) political action committee raised $1.7 million over the past couple of months, suggesting the former governor may be eyeing a comeback bid next year. (Virginia is the only state in which incumbent governors are prohibited from seeking two consecutive terms, but McAuliffe, who left office in 2017, could run again in 2021.)

* In Colorado, the National Republican Congressional Committee said yesterday it's supporting Lauren Boebert's (R) candidacy, despite her comments supporting the crackpot QAnon conspiracy theory. Boebert upset five-term Rep. Scott Tipton (R-Colo.) in a primary this week.

* Following Georgia's recent election debacle, the Atlanta Hawks is partnering with Fulton County to make its NBA arena available as a polling site for the fall. Don't be surprised if other sports teams start doing the same thing.
