Krauthammer gives Dems way too much credit

The third and final night of the Democratic National Convention was scheduled to be held this evening at Bank of America Stadium, but citing weather concerns, has been moved indoors. Republicans believe the explanation is a ruse -- Dems were struggling to fill Charlotte's football stadium, they argue, which forced a change in venue.

Leave it to Charles Krauthammer to take this line of thought to its logical extreme.

For those who can't watch clips online, Krauthammer argued, "It wasn't the weather, they knew what the weather was going to be months ago. This was clearly a response to the fear of a sea of empty seats, and that's why this is being done."

How did Democrats know what weather conditions would be like in Charlotte "months ago"? I have no idea, but Krauthammer seemed quite confident about this.

For the record, I don't know if Democratic organizers were having trouble filling the stadium or not, but given what we saw earlier this year in Michigan, I'm a little surprised Republicans would cause such a fuss about the importance of candidates filling such a venue.
