In Iowa, the Iron Lady finds a titanium spine

With her poll numbers in single digits, Michele Bachmann is not looking like a giant factor in Iowa just now. But the congresswoman from Minnesota is threatening Iran, saying she'd put U.S. missiles on alert to warn them off nuclear weapons. And she's also threatening to upset the Iowa horse race.

The "Iron Lady" with the "titanium spine" -- see her new Iowa ad above -- is the second choice for just over a third of Rick Santorum's voters. The top three candidates -- Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum -- are separated by two points. Congresswoman Bachmann gets a zero percent chance of winning from Nate Silver at FiveThirtyEight, which seems a safe enough bet.
