Geek gift guide: broadcast towers calendar

We got something kind of awesome in the mail. Kind of awesome if you love radio and television transmitters. The good folks at Fybush.com thought we might love them, too, so they sent us their 2011 Tower Site Calendar. I suspect if you are a lover of broadcast technology, you already knew about this calendar. If you are not, will this spark your interest? Hard to say.But I'm planning to keep it at my cubicle. Maybe because it makes me think of Ted Baxter and how it all began at a 5,000-watt radio station in Fresno, California. It also makes me think of my late, lamented college professor who used to do a slideshow entitled "The Artistic, Economic, Sociological and Scientific Uses of Empty Oil Drums on the Arctic Slope."
