Friday's Mini-Report

Today's edition of quick hits:* As the North Korean government asks foreign countries to consider evacuating their embassies in Pyongyang, the world continues

Today's edition of quick hits:

* As the North Korean government asks foreign countries to consider evacuating their embassies in Pyongyang, the world continues to consider how serious Kim Jung-un's bluster really is.

* The only sequestration issue Republicans appear to care about: "The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday said it will delay the closures of all 149 air traffic control towers at smaller airports around the country until June 15. The towers were scheduled to be shut down starting this weekend."

* Today's preliminary jobs numbers were awful. Neil Irwin digs deep into the data to explain why.

* Snowe could have showed courage while in office, but waited instead: "Former Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) indicated that she has switched positions and now supports-same sex marriage."

* Add Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to the list of cabinet officials who are taking a voluntary pay cut in solidarity with those affected by the Republicans' sequestration budget cuts.

* President Obama has apologized to California Attorney General Kamala Harris for saying she is "by far the best-looking attorney general in the country." White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Obama "apologized for the distraction," adding that the president "fully recognizes the challenges women continue to face in the workplace and that they should not be judged based on appearance."

* The Texas A&M student senate voted to let students opt out of funding the university's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Resource Center. Texas A&M student body president John Claybrook vetoed the measure.

* A fascinating report from Media Matters on the kind of guests that dominate the Sunday talk shows. Spoiler alert: white Republicans tend to make the most frequent appearances.

* And Mike Huckabee doesn't want to compare the White House to Nazis, but apparently, he can't help himself.
