Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:

* In New York, a Quinnipiac poll shows President Obama leading Romney by 25 points, 56% to 31%.
* In California, a USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll shows Obama up by 19, 56% to 37%.
* In the state of Washington, a new Strategies 360 poll shows Obama leading Romney by 11, while the state's gubernatorial race is much closer, with state Attorney General Rob McKenna (R) leading Rep. Jay Inslee, 43% to 39%.
* In Nevada's closely-watched U.S. Senate race, appointed Sen. Dean Heller (R) has a narrow lead over Rep. Shelley Berkley (D) in an NBC/Marist poll, 46% to 44%.
* Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) appears to be cruising to an easy re-election bid this year.
* And Pennsylvania is known as a traditional, competitive battleground state, but the Romney campaign appears to be focusing its attention elsewhere, assuming the Keystone State will remain "blue" in 2012.
