Quinnipiac has Mitt Romney up 38 to 29 over Newt Gingrich in Florida this morning. One poll, one day, but the tracking numbers do not look great for Mr. Gingrich, nor does the scorecard from last night's debate, nor does the take on his moon-state vision from the reality-based community.

"The naysayers out there are not the engineers, they are people who deeply understand the political system and recognize that certain conditions might not be possible given a particular climate," Neil deGrasse Tyson, a leading American astrophysicist, told msnbc television.

Paul Krugman dismisses the Gingrich go with a 14-word post -- 16 if you count the headline -- and a YouTube clip. It's always better when they're laughing with you.
