Obama diagnoses Mitt with 'Romnesia'

President Obama is no medical doctor, but he has a diagnosis for Mitt Romney's chronic condition of "backtracking" and "sidestepping." It's called "Romnesia."

"He's changing up so much, we've got to name this condition that he's going through - I think it's called 'Romnesia,'" Obama joked during a campaign event in Virginia on Friday. "If you've got Romnesia, here's the good news: Obamacare covers pre-existing conditions."

The Obama campaign latched onto the viral response to the catch phase by introducing "Romnesia" to Twitter. The hashtag was trending globally on Twitter Friday.

“If you say women should have access to contraceptive care but you support laws that would let employers deny it, you've got #Romnesia.”— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) October 19, 2012

On PoliticsNation Friday, Rev. Al Sharpton and Washington Post's E.J. Dionne thinks the campaign found the one word to describe their message against Romney.

Obama's performance on the trail Friday was also effective, says Dionne, because the president seems to be having fun. "[Obama] he's clearly much better when he is enjoying himself."
