It was a beautiful day today at the White House, where U2 frontman Bono met with Vice President Biden. Biden's office tweeted that the two discussed global development, AIDS, and efforts to fight poverty. This isn't the first time the humanitarian singer has visited 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, with visits both under the Obama administration and while former. Pres. George W. Bush held office.
But Obama's campaign manager Jim Messina also visited the White House today, and White House spokesman Jay Carney joked that Messina and Bono were actually meeting to form a new band.
No word on if they'll play the Inaugural Ball.
