And so the day has finally come - Super Tuesday is upon us!
Voters in 11 states head to the polls today, the biggest prize being Georgia, Newt Gingrich's home state boasting 76 delegates. But it's Ohio that's buzzing this morning as a host of polls all put that state's 63 delegates in a virtual tie. Speaking of Newt Gingrich - he and his wife Callista won't be voting today. The former Speaker calls Virginia his home these days, but his campaign failed to get on the ballot in that state. In fact, most of the presidential candidates did, with the exception of Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. Gingrich's campaign spokesman tells NBC exclusively that given the choice between Romney and Paul, Gingrich thought it best to stay out of the ballot box.
Oh, let the games begin!
