It wasn’t exactly white smoke, but did Hillary Clinton send out some kind of signal about her plans for 2016? The former Secretary of State released a video Monday, stating that she now supports same-sex marriage. It comes just days after Republican Senator and former potential Romney running mate Rob Portman announced his reversal on the issue.
With the country’s views on gay marriage evolving, is Clinton’s announcement politically motivated? There’s no one better to help us try and figure this out than James Carville, who joins NOW today.
And New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is at it again. He has proposed hiding cigarettes in New York City stores. This latest plan comes just over a week after a judge struck down his attempt to outlaw large, sugary drinks. While there is no disagreement about the health effects of cigarettes and tobacco, is the move an overreach of his power?
We’ll talk about all of this at 12p et today.
