A new ABC News-Washington Post poll this morning finds that President Obama is in good shape against his presumptive Republican opponent, Mitt Romney. He's more likable, more inspiring, more consistent, and understands people's problems - all key advantages going into the general election.
But the White House has cause for concern. As we've seen before, a great deal of the President's support is contingent on the economy. And on those issues, Romney is a far more attractive candidate. The Romney campaign knows it, and is planning to mount a general campaign focused on those issues. Some say it's the only way Romney can win given the stark disadvantages he faces against President Obama. We'll dissect this, and a whole lot more, today at noon ET.
