Rick Tyler, senior adviser of the pro-Newt Gingrich Super PAC Winning Our Future, joined the NOW panel to discuss Newt Gingrich's political ambitions...but didn't seem too positive about Gingrich's campaign.
Wagner: Where is Candidate Gingrich in the trajectory of this race? Is he nearing the end of his involvement in it?Tyler: Everything I read says he's going to go to Tampa, so I take him at his word.Wagner: And do you think that's a good thing for the Party?Tyler: Uh, I don't know.
And on the topic of Gingrich's personal drive?
Tyler: I've known Newt for a long time. Newt doesn't have this driving ambition to be President. He didn't have a driving ambition to be Speaker...Wagner: Then why is he running for President?
