msnbc's Tamron Hall will moderate a Google+ Hangout Monday at 4 pm EST hosted by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE).
Hall will be joined by Jim Shelton, acting deputy secretary at the DOE; David Johns, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African-Americans; and African-American educators from across the country.
The event is part of Teacher Appreciation Week and will involve a discussion on a variety of topics including class size, teaching in urban communities, and college readiness.
