Why the FBI might not have to share their secret iPhone hacking method

The U.S. has a "vulnerabilities equities process," but there are no strict rules on when law enforcement has to disclose a hole they discover in tech security.

FBI investigators have a method to get data off iPhones. The federal law enforcement agency does not seem in a rush to tell anyone how it's doing it, however.
