Fmr. U.S. Attorney: Trump may have broken campaign finance law


President Trump tweeted that Donald Trump Jr.’s 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer “was to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics.” Former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade says Trump campaign officials may have violated the law which forbids the acceptance or solicitation of a thing of value from a foreign national in relation to an election.
